The Red Table at the Nederburg Wine Estate in Paarl will be celebrating Heritage Day on the 24th of September in the most South African of ways – with a braai!
The day will start off at 12pm with a refreshing welcome drink of Nederburg bubbly. First up on the menu is a multi-cultural mezze platter of bread sticks, hummus, olives, sundried tomatoes, basil pesto, cauliflower fritters, lamb koftas and smoked salmon roulade.
Next course is a braai of AAA-grade sirloin steak, juicy pork belly and tiger prawn. Side dishes include four different salads, corn on the cob and traditional pap and sheba. For dessert, guests can indulge with the decadent Amarula and guava baked pudding.
Drinks will be flowing (sodas and a wide selection of Nederburg wines will be on sale) and there will be live musical entertainment.
While you’re at the Nederburg Estate, pop over to the Old Cellar Museum and find out all about Nederburg’s own heritage. You can also do a tasting of the five gourmet wines in the Nederburg’s Heritage Heroes range. Each of these wines honours an individual who has played a part in Nederburg’s heritage and formation.
It costs R260 per adult and R100 per child(under 13 years old) to attend.
