Love is air with Valentine’s Day coming up on the weekend. While we should always appreciate those special people in our lives, why not show your beloved just how much you care about them with a weekend of indulging on chocolate and sipping on fine wine?
If you’re looking to pull out all the stops, then why not surprise them with a lavish wine and chocolate pairing at the prestigious Grande Provence?
Grande Provence will be giving chocolate and vino-lovers decadent samples of wine-infused chocolate – which is custom-made by Franschhoek chocolatier Huguenot Fine Chocolate, paired with three wine partners.
Each wine will by specifically paired with a chocolate, made to enhance the unique flavour of each varietal. Wines up for the tasting are angel tears rosé, Grande Provence Rosé and the pinot noir 2014. Both rosés will be complemented by a white Belgian Chocolate with a white pink rose-infused ganache. The tasting partner for the pinot noir is a white Belgian chocolate truffle, with roasted peanuts and purple ganache. Take the spoils home by purchasing a limited edition three-pack of the angel tears rosé, Grande Provence rose and pinot noir.
Please note that the Grande Provence’s chocolate and wine pairing occurs throughout the month of February. Bookings are essential at R70 per head.
