The Grand Provence, located in the heartland of the South African wine country, will be the hosting the Survivor’s Walk of Hope on Saturday, 6 September 2014 in support of youths fighting cancer.
The walk will begin at the Huguenot Monument at 10.30am and end at Grande Provence at 1pm, where Archbishop Desmond Tutu will welcome all participants. They will then be given the opportunity to add their own hand print to a giant portrait of “The Arch” himself.
Participants can either take part in the adventurous 10 km trail run or the more leisurely 5 km walk.
The event is organised by the Out Of Africa Children’s Foundation and funds raised from this event go towards improving the quality of life for children facing life-threatening and terminal illnesses.
Tickets cost R50 per adult and R30 for children under the age of 18.
