Springtime is the season when the magic of Madame Zingara returns to Durban and the Grande Dame once again sets up home at The Suncoast Casino & Entertainment World. With a brand new show and cast and a stunning new entrance, garden and foyer, the Madame proudly brings El Milagro to the Zulu Kingdom.
Spanish for ‘the miracle’, this fitting title showcases incredible acts from around the world, from the unbelievable feats of contortion of Ziggy the Mongolian Princess and the thrilling strength act from the Ukraine to our very own high-energy rope skippers and breathtaking aerial artists Sam and Christine.
Hot Mr C is the comical thread presenting the show and the much-loved Cathy Specific also makes a comeback as she returns in a new role, joining a first class cabin crew called the Trolley Dollies, who always get feet tapping and the party started in true Zingara style. “Expect a lot of sass and sauciness,” says Cathy. “I am eager to sprinkle the magic once again and this time I am bringing along a few friends…its triple the trouble.”
Exhilarating from beginning to end, a night with the Madame is jam-packed with enthralling sensory experiences; from the fairytale characters who populate the tent and the drama, suspense and thrill of the show to a delectable four course meal prepared by gourmet chefs.
The Madame also encourages all to be a part of her enchanting world and the Bijoux Boutique, a whimsical in-house emporium offers everything, from eccentric hats to bizarre fancy dress and all manner of quirky items for guests to adorn themselves and get into the spirit of the evening.
“Everyone is looking forward to coming back to Durban, where we have always been welcomed with open and enthusiastic arms,” says Richard Griffin, Madame’s right-hand-man. “We can’t wait to share the new-look tent and the stunning new show, with performers from all over the globe, with our friends in Durban.” El Milagro has indeed become Madame’s new pride and joy
The show opens this spring, September 12, and runs nightly from Tuesdays to Saturdays. Tickets range from R410 – R495.
