The Cargo Hold is slocated within the Phantom Ship at uShaka Marine World. The menu is choc-full of seafood dishes like freshly shucked oysters, kingklip, peri peri prawns or steamed crayfish. There is also a selection of meat, poultry and vegetarian options.

What makes it special?
It is within the aquarium complex. As you sit down to eat, look up at the massive glass tanks and see seaweed, fish and sharks gliding by. Designed like a real cargo hold, there are some industrial aspects to the restaurant and the lighting is quite dim.

The menu:
The food here is delectable, and that’s all that’s really important. For example, taste the drunken camabert starter, the artichoke & truffle risotto with prawns, organic sirloin Misty’s bliss pavlova.

What makes it special?
The interior here is just so vibrant & quirky, with giant bunches of flowers, the odd corrugated iron wall, bras hanging from the rafters and rope swings for chairs in the bar area. Plus there is a car and a Hollywood sign on the roof outside.

Moyo’s menu is exceptionally long and varied with all kinds of meat, chicken, fish and vegetarian options. Most dishes have an African twist, such as the ostrich berbere which is marinated in an Ethiopian blend of spices.

What makes it special?
Apart from the fact that the waitrons are all dressed up in feathered hats with painted faces, the multi-level rustic-style restaurant is situated right on the seafront and there is a spectacular bar area on the pier, which protrudes out into the ocean.

Heia’s menu is full of old favourites and ‘safe’ options like pastas, steaks, chicken and salads. There is an option between hot and cold starters and the dessert menu has a healthy mix of fresh fruity ingredients and heavy chocolatey delights.

What makes it special?
The restaurant is situated on a game farm where animals like zebra, giraffe and wildebeest roam freely on the restaurants grounds and sometimes even sip out of the pool.
