Join St Luke’s Hospice once again in celebrating Women’s Day with a morning of fun, decadence and inspiration. The event takes place at the Belmont Square Conference Centre in Rondebosch, from 10h30 – 13h00 on the 9th of August 2012. Our guest speaker this year is Dawn Garrisch, poet, author and medical doctor.
Tickets cost R220 per person and guests will receive a delicious buffet brunch, goodie bag, a welcome drink of sparkling wine or juices, musical entertainment, and wonderful prizes in the lucky draws and raffle. Funds raised through this event go towards patient care – more specifically allowing our community nursing sisters to go into the homes of terminally ill patients every day, and provide these patients and their families with the support and care they need.
Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to book your ticket. Alternatively phone Megan on 021 7633147 or visit www.stlukes.co.za to download booking form.
Some more info on St Luke’s Hospice :
Currently St Luke’s provides a quality palliative care service to nearly 900 patients and their families on any given day, around Cape Town. These patients receive our care regardless of their ability to pay, which is why fundraising events such as the brunch are so important. The aim of St Luke’s Hospice is to enable our patients to live until their very last moment, as pain free as possible, and then to die in dignity. Hospices focus on care, not cure, concentrating on the person and not the illness. We may not be able to add days to a person’s life, but we can try to add life to the person’s last days.
