With Valentine’s Day getting closer and closer, the restaurant specials in honour of this day just keep rolling in. We brought you the first edition just over a week ago, but things are moving quickly so it’s time for take #2. Here is a compilation of the best looking specials, discounts and events being held around the country just to help you make your beloved partner feel that much more cherished.
Spice Restaurant and Bar Lounge, Durban: Head to Spice in Morningside for a 3 course meal including a variety of delicious options such as crab & coriander stuffed chicken and Amarula chocolate mousse. The per person price of R265 includes Valentine’s chocolates.
Royal Court Grill @ Sibaya Casino, Umhlanga: For R295 each you can have a 5 course dinner with treats such as Tempura prawn Marie Rose and Seasami seared salmon. Price includes a glass of sparkling wine and live music.
Al Fiume restaurant, Hennops River: Browse a variety of offerings from a classy dinner with live music on the night of the 14th, to discounted accommodation complete with chocolates, sparkling wine & roses or the famous 3 course romantic lunch or dinner package, both of the latter valid until the end of February 2014.
Fairlawns Boutique Hotel, Johannesburg: Fairlawns is offering a variety of options for celebrating Valentine’s Day, like the 4 course a la carte dinner at the Terrace restaurant which includes a rose and a gift for the ladies, a 4 course poolside meal with a number of added romantic touches and the impressive accommodation package for those who want to go all out.
Maharaja, Johannesburg: Enjoy Valentine’s Day over a 3 course meal shrouded in Indian delight with dishes such as Lamb shahi korma and Mattar paneer on offer.
Both Jake’s in the Village and Jake’s on Summerley in Cape Town are offering a delectable 3 course dinner menu on the 14th February which includes a glass of bubbly and live music for R285 per lovebird.
Restaurant @ Glen Carlou, Paarl: Glen Carlous offers fine dining at its best, and for Valentine’s Day you can get two 5-course dinners for R350 each, which are accompanied by gorgeous live music.
The Square restaurant @ The Vineyard Hotel, Cape Town: Come to the Square Restaurant on Valentine’s Day for a 6 course set menu which includes mojito sorbet and a shared tasting plate for R345 per person.
La Mouette, Cape Town: Come and enjoy a 7(!) course meal lovingly prepared by the La Mouette chefs, featuring such delights as oysters, goats cheese panna cotta and milk chocolate ganache. Choose to have your meal served with wine pairings or not.
