This week’s mix of restaurant specials, tasting menus and special events will have you trying out fillet and chocolate, 6 course meals and hearing stories from a published author while enjoying a delicious food and wine pairing in a beautiful setting.

Eat Bistro, Northcliff
Two of their enticing specials dishes on offer include Lindt gorgonzola fillet and chili chocolate mud pie. Completely drool-worthy.

Bosman’s @ Grande Roche Hotel, Paarl
Bosman’s has another one of their Culinary Innovations evenings planned for the 27 of September. The guest author will be Lauren Buekes and the 4 course meal will be paired with Thelema Wines.

Petit Caveau, Century City
Petit Caveau is hosting a wine dinner on the 31 August which comprises 3 courses and wine pairing.

The Rose Bar @ The Alphen Hotel, Constantia
The lovely Rose Bar offers three different platter options. The Fabulous Platter,for example, includes tempura prawns and beef fillet skewers among other delights. Each of the platter options are designed to serve two.

The Round House, Camps Bay
The Round House is offering Winter Specials which run ’til the end of September. These include a 3 course winter lunch special or the 4 course winter dinner special.

Laughing Chefs @ Lucit, Pretoria
The Laughing Chef @ Lucit is a new restaurant offering lunch and dinner specials, specific to each day of the week. Lunch specials include 2 for 1 and coffee and cake, while the dinner specials includes free coffee with any main and dessert ordered or a table salad and complementary wine for tables of 4 or more.

Islands Restaurant @ Protea Hotel, Bantry Bay
The Islands’ August promo works so that anyone ordering 2 courses of food get a free glass of wine.

La Mouette, Sea Point
The La Mouette August tasting menu is in full swing. Some of the options on the 6 course menu are beetroot ravioli, pan-fried angel fish and chestnut farfalle.
