The Restaurant @ Clos Malverne, nestled in the heart of the idyllic Devon Valley outside Stellenbosch, helps one to woo friends and loved ones into having a good time, especially on Valentine’s Day, with an expanded dining area and a tempting array of taste sensations to cast a romantic spell during the month of love.

The popular lunchtime hotspot recently enhanced its outside dining area with private dining nooks in and around its lush garden and it now also features an enlarged wraparound glass balcony which serves up omnipresent views of the vineyards and valley.

This love-struck indulgence costs R55 per person and includes a Rose Water & Turkish Delight Ice Cream paired with the sparkling Clos Malverne Sauvignon Blanc Brut; a Gooseberry & Pistachio Nougat Ice Cream matched with the Chardonnay, and an all-time favourite White Chocolate & Strawberry Ice Cream served with the estate’s flagship Cape Blend, Auret. An irresistible combo of Dark Chocolate Chili Ice Cream and Pinotage Reserve rounds off this tempting foursome.

In addition, The Restaurant @ Clos Malverne treats guests to an exclusive 5-course Food & Wine Pairing Valentine’s Menu on the 14th of February, when this gastronomic hotspot, which is usually just open for lunch, will also set its tables for an enchanting candlelit dinner under the stars.

The Valentine’s Menu includes Prawn & Dill Ravioli as a starter followed by an Aubergine, Goat’s Cheese & Mushroom Terrine. Guests will then continue their food and wine love affair with Grilled Venison Loin enriched with a chocolate chili sauce and the dreamy dessert line-up includes a Camembert & Hazelnut Tart and a White & Dark Chocolate Mousse.
