Harvey’s at Winchester Mansions

Following a slow meander or a strenuous run along the magnificent Sea Point promenade, take a break to enjoy your surrounds at Harvey’s –  a stylish, upscale restaurant that forms part of Winchester Mansions.

Here, you’ll not only get to enjoy the uninterrupted views of glistening sand and cascading waves, but you’ll also have the opportunity to watch as locals wind down with a relaxing evening stroll on the beach strip.

The ambience at Harvey’s is laid back, so don’t worry about donning your finest evening wear for the occasion.

There is a host of fun cocktails and fine wine varietals to choose from, all of which can be accompanied by some tasteful bar snacks. No, we aren’t talking about messy buffalo wings or a serving of greasy fries. If you’re looking for an appetiser, opt for a cheesy, ‘Camembert Hot Pot’.

Mezepoli

Mezepoli is a swanky Meze and wine bar that is situated on the Camps Bay Seaside Strip – an area characterised by palm-lined beaches and breathtaking views of the ocean.

Some might say that Mezepoli is located in a prime spot. Not only can you enjoy the sun setting over the ocean, but at an angle, you can see Signal Hill.

Sip on a classy Kir Royale cocktail, and accompany your drink with a selection of appetisers – think salt dried Kalamata olives; soft and creamy cheeses and an assortment of authentic, Greek dips.

Brass Bell

If you’re a local, the Brass Bell needs no form of introduction. Having started out humbly, as a tiny pub and restaurant, it is now a hotspot for tourists and locals alike.

The Brass Bell is located in the heart of Kalk Bay, right next to the train station and borders the ocean. If you’re looking for a snack to line your stomach, you can’t go wrong sharing a cheesy pizza with friends. The veggie-friendly ‘Cyprus Hill’ will fend off the hunger pangs until suppertime.

Laborie Wine Farm

Nestled in the picturesque Paarl Valley, with the beautiful Paarl Rock forming part of your backdrop, Laborie Wine Farm is the perfect venue to wile away a lazy afternoon.

The spacious outside terrace is shaded by towering oak trees, with scenic vistas of the sprawling vineyards. Sit back and relax while sipping on a glass of two of Laborie’s flagship wines. If you’re a vino-lover looking for some fine varietals, the wineries’ collection of Methode Cap Classique sparkling wines are award-winners.

Tobago’s Restaurant, Bar and Terrace
