With old favourites making room for an all new gastronomic cast brimming with vivacious taste combinations and refreshing textures, the new Clos Malverne A La Carte Summer Menu – on offer from Tuesdays till Sundays – calls for a mood-lifting, outer-city dining experience in the heart of the picturesque Devon Valley.

Celebrating the social side of summer, Chef Nadia Louw Smith also added a Food & Wine Pairing Platter For Two Menu to Clos Malverne’s attractions, which features bite-size creations of her signature dishes on the a la carte menu and satisfies those in search of a lighter yet luscious indulgence. This generous platter costs R258, and is served with a matching Clos Malverne red and white wine (two glasses per person).

Completing The Restaurant @ Clos Malverne’s trio of summer offerings, the eatery’s popular Food & Wine Pairing Menu – which allows you to ‘do lunch in style’ without having to break the bank – has also been given a fresh summer spin. This sumptuous 4-course menu costs R198 per head and each of courses is served with a glass of matching Clos Malverne wine which ranges from crisp Sauvignon Blanc to the estate’s multi-crowned flagship Cape Blend, Auret, and popular coffee-style pinotage, Le Café.

“Our new menu is fresh and vibrant in colour and taste such as the oh-so-sexy salmon mousse rolls on cucumber spaghetti; a chili and lime marinated prawn and avocado salad, and gorgonzola stuffed lychees wrapped with smoked springbok,” shares Nadia.

Amongst the mains, meat aficionados will fancy her Bacon Wrapped Chicken Breasts served with a fresh herb, asparagus and white wine risotto or her oriental Orange and Ginger Duck Breast which showcases her interest in Asian flavours. The girls will love her line fish with parsley-garlic baby potatoes and pan tossed broccoli. The Vegetable Phyllo Parcel with basil pesto and baby leaves will tantalise jaded vegetarian palates with glee.

The Restaurant @ Clos Malverne has recently upgraded its wraparound balcony with floor to ceiling glass doors, so that more guests can linger over al fresco indulgences and soak up the view, come rain or sunshine.

Bookings for all three lunch options are essentials.
