Local is Lekker at Nederburg’s Popular Sunset Stoep Sessions

Take a leisurely drive out to Paarl for Nederburg’s relaxing Sunset Stoep Sessions, happening late afternoon every Saturday during the warm summer months (until April). 

Expect laid-back entertainment by some top-notch local musicians, savour a glass of wine and feast on local flavours served on platters, all whilst watching the sun set over the lush vineyards and majestic Drakenstein Mountains.

Bring the kids along to enjoy the play area in the garden with games, jungle gyms and zip-lines, a tree house, swings and more. Lawn games for adults are also available. 

Guests above the age of 18 are served a complimentary sundowner at 17:30. 

The live music performances start at 15:00 (until 18:00).

The line-up of artists for February:

  • 4 February: R&B (musical duo Ricardo Simon and Brandon Baartman)

Ricardo has been pursuing music from an early age, starting with gospel music (drums and vocals) in church. His dad bought him his first drum kit when he was 16 years old, and the rest is history.

Brandon is a talented jazz studying musician with over 15 years of experience.  A skilled guitarist with rich vocals, he covers genres from jazz, soft rock and reggae to blues, pop, hip-hop, ballads, rock ‘n roll, and more.

  • 11 February:  JP Zeelie

JP is a contemporary country singer-songwriter who believes in creating feel-good musical experiences. At home, in a band or as a stripped down one-man acoustic show, he will leave you wanting more!

  • 18 February:  Chris Rain

A soulful acoustic singer-songwriter and cover artist with an original and melodic approach to the songs he performs, Chris is considered an ‘old soul’. He loves the music of simpler times and have dedicated most of his 11 years in the industry to perfect his talent and interpretation of songs.

  • 25 February:  Tyan Odendal

Tyan, an acoustic artist from Cape Town, performs a mixture of covers, old and new, that people recognize and sing along with. He adds extra flavour to his live music by looping and layering certain beats and acoustic guitar sounds.
