The 2014 Col’Cacchio pizzeria Celebrity Chef Series was a roaring success, with a remarkable R270 000 raised for charity from September-November 2014.
The all-star culinary line-up, featuring Mike Bassett, Jodi-Ann Pearton and Rudi Liebenberg, saw pizza lovers flocking to stores nation-wide to sample their delectable signature creations.
The 2014 Celebrity Chef Series was proudly sponsored by Rialto Foods, Parmalat, The Food Store, Coca Cola, Place in the Sun Wines, Bos Ice Tea and Appletiser.
The Children’s Hospital Trust was once again the charity drive’s beneficiary, with funds raised going towards the building of a paediatric rehabilitation programme at St Joseph’s Home for Chronically Ill Children.
Michael Terespolsky, Director of Col’Cacchio pizzeria, had the following to say: “The Celebrity Chef Series is all about contributing to a worthy cause and this would not be possible without the support of the public, our celebrity chefs and sponsors of the Series. We sincerely thank you for the role you’ve played in helping us raise over R1.4 million for charity since the Series kicked off in 2009”.
“We are so grateful to the Col’Cacchio pizzeria team for choosing the Children’s Hospital Trust as the beneficiary of this innovative campaign for five consecutive years. They can be proud of the tremendous collective impact they have had on a range of priority projects at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital and this year’s incredibly special programme at St Joseph’s Home,” said Louise Driver, CEO of the Children’s Hospital Trust.
