With the lifting of Covid Alert Level 4 restrictions on sit-down dining, it is business as usual at Steenberg’s two popular signature restaurants offering guests the opportunity to dine in or enjoy their favourite dishes in the comfort of their own homes.
Tryn Restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch daily, and in the evenings from Thursday to Saturday for early dinner with last reservations at 18h30 to accommodate restaurant staff returning home before the 21h00 curfew. You can also pop in during the day for sweet treats from the coffee and pastry bar.
Bistro Sixteen82, Steenberg’s cellar door eatery, reopens after its winter break on Thursday, 15 July, for breakfast, lunch and early evening tapas from 09h00 to 19h45 with last reservations at 18h30.
“It’s been a really tough 16 months for the entire restaurant industry and we are so happy to be able to welcome our regulars back to enjoy all their old favourites. While operating our restaurants is hardly profitable right now with reduced opening hours and the continued ban on alcohol sales, we are at least able to bring back our staff and enable them to put food on their own tables,” says Steenberg Executive Chef Kerry Kilpin.
Indulge your winter taste buds and enjoy Chef Kerry’s signature comfort food at great winter value. For just R395 per person, Tryn offers a three course winter special of a starter, main and dessert of your choice. At Bistro Sixteen82 you can tuck into the Hearty & Homely menu at R315 for a three course lunch or tapas for two at R355.
While ordering wine with your meal is not permitted right now, Tryn serves a wide selection of inspiring non-alcoholic drinks and sundowners from the stylish cocktail bar.
If you prefer to enjoy your restaurant dining experience at home during Covid Level 4, you can continue to order Chef Kerry’s most popular dishes off her Steenberg @ Home and lighter Takeaway menus.
