After a complimentary glass of Spier Cap Classique Brut Rosé, start off with butternut soup and farm-baked bread along with artisan salads like chargrilled broccoli with chickpeas, kale and a mustard vinaigrette. The mouth-watering mains include braised acorn-fed pork and prune pie, oxtail potjie, roasted Karoo lamb shoulder and a cauliflower and broccoli bake. Each of you will be able to choose between seven exquisite desserts such as chocolate cake with caramel popcorn, banoffee pie and poached berry pavlovas. Be sure to bring along the kids! They’ll have the chance to make their own floral arrangement for Mom to take home.

2. Lunch at Vadas Smokehouse & Bakery
Treat Mom to a three-course set menu at Vadas. With an emphasis on slow-roasted, pasture-reared meats and vegetables, the food comes out on platters — perfect for sharing with the whole family. The tasty assortment on offer includes pork and boerenkaas croquettes, smoked brisket and lamb ribs, a green bean Caesar salad, and coal-roasted beets with walnuts. Save room for the citrus meringue pie and apple pastéis de nata! The restaurant overlooks the rolling lawns and granite boulders of the Werf, where the little ones can roam wild while Mom relaxes with that much-deserved glass of wine.
