Steve Newman plays Live at Al’s Place in November

Steve Newman live showAl’s Place Entertainment is excited to announce that guitar master Steve Newman will be performing ‘A Trio of Music Maestros’ on the 24th of November. He will be accompanied by two world-class performers, Angel Rose from NYC and our own home-grown Errol Dyers. They have come together to do a local tour before touring overseas. This is a rare opportunity to see these three fabulous musicians performing together.

Steve Newman is an accomplished guitarist who continues to wow his audiences. A globally acclaimed, multi award-winning musician who remains humble and accessible to his loyal fans. His work with Tananas brought him international recognition with performances around the world on WOMAD and other festivals. His unique guitar ‘duels’ with Tony Cox are legendary. Newman has conquered the guitar in previously inconceivable ways. He is a house-hold name, an extraordinary human being and an exceptionally talented musician.

Angel Rose, a Jazz singer from New York City, is currently performing in South Africa. A two-time Grammy nominee, Angel has performed alongside the elite of the industry: Stevie Wonder, Dizzy Gillespie, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, Herbie Hancock, Chaka Kahn, Vanessa Williams, Celine Dion and many more. Errol Dyers is a renowned home-grown Jazz guitarist who epitomises the Cape Jazz and ‘Goema’ sound. Errol exhibits a unique and ancestral ‘rootsy’ jazz style. “More than anything, it’s Cape Town that has influenced my sound” says Errol. A guitar maestro with many international performances under his belt.
